The Moment Company started in 2001. TMC is my second company. Primary goal is the development of sustainable experiences. These experiences are communicated to consumers with the use of manuals.
When you take a look at one of these manuals you'll see images, various colors and very little text. This image based tool gives an emotional response with consumers. Research of these responses taught me a lot about the importance of emotions.
There are always interesting stories behind a person's experience. Apart from the design of the manuals I am also collecting these personal stories.
The things I am doing now have little in common with the way I designed products in the past. When I started TMC I felt it was necessary to make a shift towards concepts, based on the idea of the sustainable experience.
Development of these ideas is different from traditional product development. The process is more intuitive and seems to happen more often in my heart and less inside my head. I am still designing products but to me they are no more than ingredients for the game.
